FREQUENTLY ASKES QUESTIONS
Should I tip the drivers?
Our staff has been selected because of many reasons. They are paid an hourly wage but usually go above and beyond what they get paid. If you feel they have done a good job feel free to tip them. If you don't have any cash with you when you are heading out on the river, you can leave it with us on your return and we will see to it that they get the tip.
Do you allow dogs?
Dogs are allowed but must be on a leash at all times while on the property. Do not bring aggressive dogs or you may be asked to leave. ALWAYS pick up after your dog.
What is your minimum age?
Children under 4 are not allowed on our equipment. We do not provide any boosters or car seats in our transportation vehicles. An adult must sign a waiver accepting responsibility for any and all minors.
How deep is the river?
The depth of the river greatly varies. There are many shallow areas with deep holes well over 6 ft deep. Even when the river is 4 ft deep you may not be able to stand due to the force of the water.
How long does it take to float?
Our 5 mile float takes about 2.5 hours if paddling with no stops. Most people take 4-5 hours which include only "keeping it straight" paddling and plenty of stops. Our 11 mile float takes a minimum of 5 hours if paddling with no stops. Most people take 6-8 hours which include a slow paddle with a lunch stop and a few shorter swim stops.
