2015 marks the beginning of a new era in canoeing on the Buffalo River in Tennessee. Due to lack of accessibility of river property, no livery has operated north of interstate 40. This is arguably the most beautiful section of the entire river, but is mainly owned by private farms. Well we are lucky enough to have a prime spot on the river in beautiful Cherry Bottom. I grew up on this section of the river and know of it's unsurpassed beauty. Now we want to share it with the world.
With about 24 acres and over 1400 feet of river frontage, there is ample camping space for groups of all sizes. Many acres are heavily wooded and not usable. There are several established campsites along the river with nice overhead canopy. Vehicle maneuverability is an issue. Large groups are welcome to camp in the open field at the top of the hill. At this time we are only offering primitive(dry) camping. Self contained RVs are welcome also.
If you are looking for a blissful weekend away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, then look no further. Less than an hour away from Nashville and two hours from Memphis, we are located 4 miles from exit 143 on I-40. Come see for yourself.
